Future Chemist International Summer Camp (FCISC)

Summer festival in USTC, 1~15 July, 2018



The ‘Future Chemist International Summer Camp’ (FCISC), as a part of ‘Future Scientist International Summer Camp’ (FSISC), is organized by University of Science and Technology of China (USTC) and hosted by USTC School of Chemistry and Materials Science & School of Life Sciences , designing for undergraduates majoring in science.


This summer, the camp will continue to offer cutting-edge reports in advanced sciences, Chinese culture lectures, field trips to cultural sites and opportunities to collaborate and interact with USTC students. FCISC will provide you with an exceptional opportunity to combine high-quality learning, hands-on research and an unforgettable summer experience.


FCISC is targeted for undergraduates above the freshman level from prominent international universities. We welcome Bachelor’s students in their second to last year to apply for our summer camp. Online application will last from now to the end of April.

The Committee Members for Undergraduate International Affairs at the USTC School of Chemistry and Materials Science & School of Life Sciences will select ~30 students from the international applicants (1~2 students from each prestigious international university) and several students from the domestic applicants in April 2018. The students majored in Chemistry and materials science or life science are required.


Once admitted, USTC will issue invitation letters to the students, and the students should apply for the visa in time and prepare their trips to China. The campers will be granted FCISC scholarship (about 12,000RMB for those from Europe and America, 8000RMB for those from Oceania, and 4000RMB for those from Aisa) to cover the round-trip flight tickets and daily cost during the camp when they attend the camp. Additionally, the accommodation and insurance fees during the camp will also be covered by USTC.
